WebScription ShelfServer for iPhone and iTouch

Stanza is a free application for your iPhone and iPod Touch. WebScription.net has added support for directly downloading WebScription ebooks to Stanza. Stanza may be downloaded from the Apple App Store. Visit http://www.Lexcycle.com for more details on Stanza.

Or you can go to the Online Catalog in the Stanza app and click the "+" button at the bottom of the screen and enter the url for WebScription.

The WebScription catalog is in three sections. An About section, a Free Library section and a My Books section.

Login and Downloading
You can not download books other than Free Library books until you login. From the opening menu go into "My Books" and you will be asked for your email address and password which will be the same as your normal WebScription login.

Searching
The fastest way to find a book is by searching. Use the little magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen.

You can use the authors name or the title of the book. For example to retrieve all David Weber books enter "Weber" in the search field. If you want a particular book enter part of it's title. For example the get "The Deed of Paksennarion" you could just enter "Paks"

The search will be performed in your current context. For example if you are in the Free Library section your search will be within the Free library books only. If you are in My Books the search would be within your purchased books. To search all books use the opening menu's search icon.

BOOKSHELF

BookShelf is an easy to use electronic book reader for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Available through the iTunes AppStore, BookShelf installs easily on your mobile device. Paired with the the WebScription ShelfServer or the ShelfServer application for your desktop, you can easily download books from the internet or your computer to your device via WiFi and start reading instantly.

WebScriptions is now hosting a ShelfServer so you can download your WebScription books directly to your iPhone or iTouch via the internet. Once you've installed BookShelf on your device you can use the Mobile Safari web browser to setup your connection to WebScriptions. Just browse to this page with your device and click the BookShelf icon below

WebScription Bookshelf Link

This will add WebScriptions to the BookShelf Favorite ShelfServers list. This link only works from the iPhone Safari browser. Other browsers will return an error.

Alternately, you can setup directly in BookShelf by clicking the download icon and the clicking "Add New Favorite Shelf". Then enter the www.webscription.net for the address

Once connected, tapping the red icon will prompt you to enter your email address and password credentials for WebScriptions. You may leave your credentials blank if you only want to access the Baen Free Library books or add them if you also want your purchased My Books list available.
